Stages determine who can view a location and its assets within the Officebooking apps. While individual assets can be hidden by setting their own stage to hidden or inactive, the location stage lets you publish or hide an entire location at once. Assigning a stage lets you safely configure and test a location before it goes live, or take it out of use temporarily or permanently.<\/p>\n

Currently, Officebooking supports four location stages:<\/p>\n

Draft:<\/strong> Use this stage when setting up or modifying a location. New locations are set to Draft by default. This allows administrators and Location Managers to configure, review, and test the location before making it available to all users. The location is visible to Location Managers and Admins, but not to regular users.<\/span><\/p>\n

Active:<\/strong> Use this stage when the location is ready for daily use and should be visible to all users. Users can view and make reservations for the location according to the configured booking rules.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hidden:<\/strong> Use this stage when a location is temporarily or permanently taken out of use. The location is no longer visible to end users or available for reservations, while its existing data remains available for reporting and analytics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blocked:<\/strong> Use this stage when a location should be completely taken out of use. The location is hidden from end users, and visitor registration is disabled. External registrations and integrations are also prevented from creating reservations or checking in users or visitors for this location.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> locations are always visible in OfficeAdmin, regardless of their stage.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

How to change the stage of a location<\/h2>\n

To update the stage of a location, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Navigate to OfficeAdmin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Go to Locations <\/strong>and select the location you want to update<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Click Edit<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Choose the desired stage in the Select stage<\/strong> dropdown.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Save <\/strong>the location<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
