New Booking Rules & Enhanced Flexibility in Officebooking!
We’re excited to roll out some powerful updates to our booking rules—giving you even more control over how your spaces and resources are managed.
What’s New?
Asset-Specific Booking Windows
You can now override user group rules on a per-asset basis.
Example: While the default for regular users may be to book up to 14 days in advance, a specific room can now be made available for a shorter or longer time range.
Reservation Time Quotas
Limit how much time a user can book over a given period.
For instance, you can now set a rule where users may reserve a maximum of 12 hours per week—encouraging fair and balanced usage of shared spaces.

-
Maximum number of reservations per week – controls how many bookings can be made per user.
-
Maximum concurrent reservations – restricts how many reservations a user can hold at the same time.
-

Asset-Level Rules
-
Maximum days in advance – set custom booking windows per asset.
-
Minimum number of attendants – enforce a required minimum for group reservations.
-
Default booking as request – configure assets to require approval before confirming bookings.
Coming Soon (Beta)
We’re currently testing even more advanced booking rules, including:
Conditional Booking Requests
Set custom rules—e.g., if a reservation has more than a specified number of attendants, it automatically becomes a request requiring approval.
User Group Quotas by Time Period
Define total allowable booking time per group over a set period (e.g., 12 hours per week or 40 hours per month).
IMPORTANT NOTE
Keep in mind that different booking rules may sometimes conflict. In general, rules set at the individual user or asset level will take priority over user group or global settings.
We recommend testing your configuration thoroughly to ensure it aligns with your organization’s specific needs.
