Reservation requests and booking rules

Although self service assumes direct booking without additional workflows, in some cases it can be convenient to add an additional workflow. We’ve introduced ‘Booking Rules’ for this. With Booking rules you can set your conditions to determine whether a reservation needs additional approval by a staff member.

Set the rules in officeAdmin at Settings. Select the tab ‘Booking Rules’ and add a new rule.

Currently, number of attendants and the number of days in the future is supported.

The reservation will become a reservation request, visible with a different color and style in the planner view. A location manager or admin can view all requests in the listview and approve or cancel the request.

In the future we will extend this feature with new options, i.e. call a specific action when the rule is triggered.
