Overview: We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a robust background in developing and maintaining Rails SaaS platforms and a strong proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, contribute to the evolution of our products, and shape the future of our cloud-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the smooth deployment of Rails applications, incorporating Kubernetes and Docker for efficient containerisation and orchestration.
  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced cloud-based architectures for our SaaS platform, utilising platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Develop and oversee automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes, emphasising container orchestration and microservices.
  • Develop and implement deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of our SaaS platform, providing recommendations for tuning and improvements.
  • Innovate and implement application and platform solutions to meet evolving requirements, leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Develop scripts to automate various operational tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
  • Research and advocate for new technologies and best practices in DevOps, containerisation, and cloud computing.

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and maintaining Rails SaaS applications.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based architectures, with hands-on experience in AWS or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Kubernetes and Docker for container management and orchestration.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Sentry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001:2022 and commitment to maintaining high security standards.
